Jordan is a managing associate within the private wealth team based in our Dubai office. Jordan assists high-net worth individuals and families, family offices and trustees with the structuring of their investments, international estate and tax planning and family governance. Jordan has significant experience in advising on international succession structures including regional and international trusts and foundations.
Jordan works across the MENA region advising on all aspects of regional and international private client issues, succession planning, wealth holding structures, family governance and cross-border taxation.
His expertise and experience enables him to take account of Sharia compliance within the framework of English Law and when implementing local structures in the Middle East.
Since the introduction of the new Foundations laws in DIFC and ADGM Jordan has developed significant expertise in this area, including drafting precedent Foundation documents for a leading corporate service provider in DIFC and utilising DIFC and ADGM foundations within complex cross-border succession and governance structures for private and business assets.
Jordan is well versed in preparing various types of UAE Wills including DIFC Wills and Wills for registration at the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department. He also advises on Sharia compliant Wills and worked on local and UK estate administration matters.
Jordan is a qualified member of the Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners (STEP) and often contributes to articles and provides know-how sessions to families, private banks and other private wealth practitioners on an array of topical wealth, succession and tax planning issues.
For two successive years Jordan has been acknowledged as the sole "Associate to Watch" in Chambers High Net Worth Guide for Private Wealth Law within the UAE, clearly demonstrating his reputation as one of the standout private wealth lawyers within the region.
